10:21 AM. Reviewing the outline for this afternoon and allowing myself a think, here in GlitterBean. The flat white is lovely, as is the weather outside today. The weather inside is…ruminative? Pleasantly misty/foggy with the promise of a surprise discovery or meaningful ‘stumble upon’ of one sort or another. I do love those sorts of encounters…When you’ve prepared as best as possible for what you Think the day or journey will be…and other gifts, curiosities, wonders, reveal themselves without specifically seeking them.

Hm..I suppose that’s what it is to have a disposition of openness—to maintain the space for the ‘Huh, who knew?’ For the wow, the pause, the intake of breath and circumstance that in turn opens onto vistas unexpected and changes the day, at least…if not still more.

I knew I liked the fog. The slightly obscured that invites a closer look, the contour and texture of details that come into focus when at once we see clearly… regardless of the weather.
