Funny thing… I meant to sit down and write a grace for a luncheon we are hosting tomorrow…and I still will… but this fell out of the keyboard first…

A Prayer for the Feast of the Sacred Heart, 2026
This world, your world, is fragmented, frayed, and also glorious;
There are factions and flowers, celebrations of the simple things,
and a depth of mourning that can not be fully plumbed.
It is in your Sacred Heart that all of these disparate lines of reality intersect—
intersect to form a starburst of love, radiant, reaching, saturating
the whole wild lot of creation, all action, all feeling, and all thought.
We count on you and we trust in you; We seek your mercy and compassion as
we ask for spirits open to transformation through your Heart and all that it holds
so that we too might be radiant by believing in the possibility and potential
of that great good to which you call us all:
An extraordinary fullness of Love and Love and Love.
