On the Beach
(After the sermon of 11 April at Saint Andrew’s)
Not a ghost but rather
living being upon the living earth.
All in movement, flexing and flowing,
I am here, believe.
You are here, welcome.
We are here, let us share a meal.
Share a dance, share the horizon
between what is and tomorrow;
share the work, the yes, the breathing
in and out of all that leafs, blooms,
laughs, grows, and then becomes more.
Let us share in the hunger
for touch, for hope, for the blue
of distance and the breadth of space,
the cosmos within, the galaxies surrounding.
We are here, you are home;
Here I am, flesh and blood,
let’s eat fish.
