Never Boring
Snaked a drain;
plunged a shower;
wore galoshes inside;
had a cashier call me honey;
wrote a script;
filmed a short;
overheard a discussion of ice cream flavours;
cleaned a cat box;
made an omelette;
scheduled events;
composed emails;
happened upon bagpipes
having a go at large scale blooming;
and prayed while walking;
prayed a line at a time, two words a footfall—
until home once more
within these walls, yes, and within myself,
tea in hand, grace surrounding.
