Arrival of the Moment

She found that it helped
to stare long and far,
unhurried, wide of thought,
deep of heart,
to ease the restlessness
of hope; instead embracing
the arrival of the moment:
the breath, the wind that first
bloomed in the great everlasting, first
gathered offerings for the senses,
compressing the large into the now
before presenting the gift.
