Veins of sound and ink: A Poem

Veins of Sound and Ink

Words hold stories
in their veins of sound and ink.
Memory tales and new trails
blazed by the senses
sparking syllable by syllable.

Words: Today;
consider; imagination.

Sentences: She stopped
at the corner, turning
left this time.

Chapters: And
she kept walking,
taking note
of textures and colours,
the scents and the sighing.

Books: Taking note
and steeping it all
in the freshwater
conversation running
through her being.

Chapters: Much
happened
along
the
way.

Sentences: The conversation
within her tasted like β€˜more’
and sounded
like life that knew
of flow and tumble.

Words: Eventually.
All along.
Thank you.
Again,
Begin.
